Fire Service and Maintenance Engineer Reading Permanent Salary: £31,855 - £40,630 + overtime, travel time and out-of-hours retainer Realistic OTE up to £60,000About the RoleWe are currently seeking an experienced Fire Service and Maintenance Engineer to join a growing and highly motivated team delivering essential safety services across the Social Housing sector.This role focusses on PPM servicing, maintenance, fault finding, and repair of life safety systems, ensuring full compliance with health and safety standards. Each day will bring a variety of environments and locations, where you will act as a key representative of the business, providing excellent customer service and technical expertise.Key ResponsibilitiesService, maintain, fault-find, install, and commission:Fire alarm systems (analogue addressable and conventional)Automatic Opening Vents (AOVs)CCTV systemsAccess control systemsWarden call systemsFire extinguishersComplete accurate service and maintenance reportsIdentify and report system faults, deficiencies, or deviationsMaintain and test emergency lighting systems and associated equipmentManage van stock levels and coordinate replenishmentPromote a strong health and safety culture, identifying and reporting risksDeliver a "first-time fix" wherever possibleAbout YouWe are looking for someone who is reliable, detail-focused, and committed to high standards of safety and service.
