Fire Door Carpenter

Please note you must have a Blue CSCS card, NVQ Level 2 in carpentry and previous fire door experience to be considered for this role. You will also be required to complete cupbaord installs and finish/ paint the door you have installed. (1 per day requirement)

A leader in the provision of fire protection services and works within is looking for an experienced fire door carpenter to join their team. You will be working on social housing completing fire door installs. The works are located on one site and all materials provided. 12 doors to be installed and 1 per day expected (This is to include finishing works such as painting / making good)

The successful candidate will have:

• At least two year’s experience working with fire doors
• A strong background in carpentry and joinery
• Excellent technical knowledge of fire door compliance
• NVQ or equivalent in carpentry
• Experience installing fire doors and frames
• Experience upgrading and remediating existing doors and frames
• Experience working on social housing FRA contracts

Roles and responsibilities

• Carrying out fire door installs 
• Complete works in line with the manufacture’s specification
• Document works on a step-by-step basis, ensuring evidence is taken accurately
• Problem solving and being able to overcome unforeseen issues with the work
• Liaise with customers and members of the general public

What's on offer?

• Fire door install works on a large residential premises 
• Self-employed work for around 2 weeks
• £240.00 per day based on 8 hrs worked
