A specialist fire safety consultancy is looking to appoint an experienced Fire Consultant to join their growing team in Birmingham. The successful Fire Consultant will support a varied portfolio of residential, commercial and mixed-use developments across the Midlands.The Fire Consultant''s RoleThe appointed Fire Consultant will provide practical and technical fire safety advice throughout the design, construction and occupation stages of projects.Key responsibilities will include:Preparing and reviewing fire strategiesCarrying out fire safety reviews and technical assessmentsAdvising on means of escape, compartmentation and fire resistanceReviewing architectural drawings and design informationProviding guidance on Approved Document B and relevant British StandardsLiaising with architects, developers, contractors and Building ControlProducing clear technical reports and recommendationsAttending client and design team meetingsSupporting projects through Building Regulations approvalThe Fire ConsultantThe successful Fire Consultant will ideally have:A degree or recognised qualification in Fire Engineering, Fire Safety or a related disciplinePrevious experience within a fire consultancy or similar technical environmentStrong knowledge of UK fire safety legislation and guidanceExperience producing fire strategies and technical reportsGood client-facing and communication skillsMembership of the IFE or another relevant professional body would be advantageousA full UK driving ..... full job details .....
