Fire Consultant

A respected fire safety consultancy is seeking an experienced Fire Consultant to strengthen their growing team in Newcastle. The successful Fire Consultant will work across a diverse range of developments throughout the North East, supporting clients with practical and technically sound fire safety advice.The Fire Consultant''s RoleThe appointed Fire Consultant will be involved in projects from early design through to completion, working closely with developers, architects and wider design teams.Responsibilities will include:Preparing fire strategies for new-build and existing buildingsReviewing drawings, specifications and design informationProviding advice on Approved Document B and relevant British StandardsCarrying out fire safety inspections and assessmentsProducing detailed technical reportsLiaising with clients, contractors and design teamsSupporting Building Regulations submissionsAssisting with fire safety matters relating to higher-risk and complex buildingsThe Fire ConsultantThe successful Fire Consultant will ideally hold:A degree or relevant qualification in Fire Engineering, Fire Safety or a related subjectPrevious experience within a fire consultancy or similar technical environmentStrong knowledge of UK fire safety guidance and legislationExperience producing fire strategies or fire safety reportsGood communication and client-facing skillsMembership of the IFE or another relevant professional body would be beneficialA full UK driving licence would be ..... full job details .....
