We are looking for an experienced Technical Sales Surveyor to join our team in Poole. You will be responsible for surveying, designing, estimating and selling fire, life safety, security and associated electrical systems, while developing strong customer relationships and managing key accounts.
 
The role offers a mixture of technical surveying, design, estimating, business development and account management.
 
Key Responsibilities

• Carry out site surveys and identify customer requirements.
• Design and specify fire alarm, CCTV, access control, intruder alarm, voice alarm and associated systems.
• Prepare accurate estimates, quotations and technical proposals.
• Manage enquiries from initial contact through to order.
• Develop and maintain relationships with customers, contractors and consultants.
• Identify opportunities for upgrades, additional services and maintenance contracts.
• Attend customer meetings, site visits and presentations.
• Manage key accounts and conduct regular customer reviews.
• Liaise with suppliers and manufacturers to develop suitable solutions.
• Provide technical handovers and support to project teams.
• Ensure designs comply with relevant British Standards and industry requirements.

Skills & Experience

• Previous experience within the fire, security, life safety or building services industry.
• Strong knowledge of fire alarms, CCTV, access control and intruder alarm systems.
• Experience carrying out technical surveys and producing quotations.
• Ability to read drawings, specifications and tender documents.
• Strong commercial awareness and customer-facing skills.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
• Full UK driving licence.

Desirable: FIA, BAFE, NSI or relevant industry qualifications; AutoCAD experience; knowledge of BS 5839, BS EN 54 and other relevant British Standards; CSCS card.
