Fire and Security Estimator

About the ClientOur Client delivers fire alarm and electronic security projects and is seeking an Estimator to support its fire and security departments. This opportunity suits a technically minded professional who can assess customer requirements, interpret tender documents and develop commercially sound proposals.Roles/ResponsibilitiesReview drawings, specifications, schedules and tender documents to establish project requirements.Carry out site surveys to assess existing systems, installation requirements and site conditions.Prepare detailed estimates covering equipment, labour, cabling, containment, commissioning and subcontractor costs.Develop system proposals and equipment schedules, drawing on technical specialists where required.Obtain and compare supplier and subcontractor quotations, identifying scope gaps, technical queries, risks and alternative solutions.Produce clear quotations and tender submissions, including assumptions, exclusions and scope of works.Liaise with customers, consultants, main contractors and suppliers throughout the tender process, supporting clarifications, negotiations and revisions.Manage multiple enquiries, maintain accurate pricing and estimating records, and meet submission deadlines.Hand over successful tenders to the delivery team and review completed projects to improve estimating accuracy.QualificationsEssentialExperience estimating fire alarm and/or electronic security installations.Good technical understanding of fire detection, ..... full job details .....
