The Role Our client is looking for a Fire and Security Design Engineer to take ownership of fire and security design packages from concept through to construction support. You''ll produce calculations, drawings, specifications and technical submissions for fire alarm and security systems, working to BS 5839 and relevant fire strategy requirements, and coordinating closely with clients and consultants throughout the project lifecycle. Key Responsibilities Own fire and security design packages from concept through to construction support Produce fire alarm designs in accordance with BS 5839, covering system architecture, zoning and cause and effect Produce security system designs covering CCTV, access control, intruder detection, intercom and ANPR Undertake detector selection, sounder/VAD design, loop loading, PSU, battery and voltage-drop calculations Develop fire alarm zoning, ..... full job details .....
