FIRE & SECURITY SERVICE & SMALL WORKS ENGINEER

We are seeking a skiled Fire & Security Service and Smal Works Engineer to join our team. The role involves servicing, maintaining and fault-finding on fire alarm and security systems across a variety of client sites. You wil also carry out remedial works, system upgrades and minor modifications to ensure systems remain compliant and fuly operational.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Routine Service, maintenance and fault-finding of fire alarm and security systems across a range of client sites.
• Carry out remedial works, system upgrades, additions and minor modifications as required.
• Undertake smal works instalations, including extensions to existing systems and the instalation of smaler standalone fire and security systems.
• Ensure al systems serviced, repaired or insta led meet regulatory and company standards.
• Maintain accurate service records, including test results, certificates, as fitted drawings and system documentation.
• Work closely with the service team and engineers to deliver timely, effective maintenance and support solutions.
• Provide technical support and advice to clients, ensuring clear communication and a high standard of customer service.

Details

• Door-to-door travel: currently around 30 minutes each way.
• Call-out: approximately 1 in 5 weeks.
• Call-out standby: -135 per week, with door-to-door travel paid at 1.5 times the normal rate.
• The majority of the work is within Peterborough and the surrounding counties, with a small number of national sites.
