Salary:
£35,000 – £43,000 DOE
Location:
Covering the South East
Working Hours: 8 hours per day, flexible
Call Out Rota: 1 in 5 weeks (Standby: £175)

Role Overview

A skilled Fire & Security Engineer – Service is required to join a growing team. This position focuses heavily on Access Control systems and will involve servicing and maintaining various security and life safety systems. Ideal for someone with a strong technical background who wants to develop their career within a supportive and forward-thinking environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Service and maintenance of fire alarms, CCTV, intruder alarms, access control, and intercom systems
  • Diagnose and repair faults across a variety of industry-leading systems
  • Deliver high standards of customer service on-site
  • Participate in an on-call rota (1 in 5 weeks)
  • Ensure accurate documentation and regulatory compliance
  • Work an 8-hour flexible day, with paid travel time

Systems and Manufacturers Supported

  • Access Control: Grosvenor, Brevo, Paxton, TDSI
  • CCTV: Avigilon, Flir, Dahua, Hikvision, IndigoVision
  • Intruder Alarms: Ajax, Pyronix, Texecom
  • Entry Systems: Aiphone, BPT, Comelit, Videx

Candidate Requirements

Essential:

  • Strong knowledge of Access Control systems
  • Proven experience with fire and security systems
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Located within 30 minutes of Barnet, Broomfield, Kent, or Hampshire client sites

Desirable:

  • Experience working on NHS or public sector sites
  • Familiarity with current fire/safety compliance standards
  • Desire to train and progress within the business

Salary & Benefits

  • Salary: £35,000 – £43,000 DOE
  • Pension: 3% employer contribution
  • Company Vehicle: Van or car with personal use, fuel/credit card included
  • On-Call Payment: £175 per week standby
  • Bonus: Discretionary Christmas bonus based on company performance
  • Holidays: 25 days + bank holidays
  • Travel Time: 30 minutes each way paid
  • Training: Full cross-training on fire or security systems available
