Field Service Engineer - Commissioning & Small Works

Southwest & Midlands | Ideal location: M4 Corridor - Swindon to Reading

-35,000 - -42,000 + OVERTIME + BENEFITS

Alecto Recruitment is looking to hear from experienced Fire & Security Engineers with a strong background in commissioning, small works and maintenance.

This is a great opportunity for an engineer looking to move towards a more commissioning and project-focused role, with no on-call requirement.

The role will cover the Southwest and Midlands, so there will be regional travel involved. The ideal candidate will be based around the M4 corridor between Swindon and Reading, although candidates closer to Bristol will also be considered.

What You''ll Be Doing

  • Carrying out commissioning of Fire & Security systems.
  • Completing small works, upgrades and system modifications.
  • Undertaking planned and reactive maintenance.
  • Fault finding and diagnosing system issues.
  • Completing commissioning, service and project documentation.
  • Liaising directly with customers and site contacts.
  • Travelling across the Southwest and Midlands as required.
  • Working independently and managing your own workload.

What We''re Looking For

  • Solid experience within the Fire & Security industry.
  • Proven commissioning experience.
  • Strong background in small works and maintenance.
  • Good fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
  • Comfortable working independently and travelling regionally.
  • Strong customer-facing and communication skills.
  • Relevant Fire & Security qualifications are advantageous.
  • Full UK driving licence.

No on-call. Strong commissioning opportunity. -35k42k + OT.
