Fire Alarm Service Engineer

Overview:

We are currently seeking an experienced Fire Alarm Service Engineer to join a growing fire protection contractor working across the critical infrastructure sector.-

This is a field-based role covering planned preventative maintenance, fault finding, servicing, and minor remedial works on a variety of fire alarm systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Service, maintain, and fault-find fire alarm systems on client sites
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) in line with industry standards
• Diagnose and repair system faults efficiently and effectively
• Complete detailed service reports and compliance documentation
• Provide technical support and advice to clients where required
• Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with relevant fire safety regulations and standards
• Liaise with helpdesk, supervisors, and project teams to ensure smooth service delivery
• Participate in an on-call rota (if required)

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Fire Alarm Service Engineer
• Strong knowledge of fire alarm systems (e.g. Gent, Advanced, Notifier, Kentec, etc.)
• Good fault-finding and diagnostic skills
• Understanding of BS5839 standards
• Full UK driving licence
• Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively

Desirable:

• FIA or equivalent fire alarm qualifications
• Experience across multiple manufacturer systems
• Background in commercial or multi-site service contracts
