Fire Alarm Engineer
NMS Recruit are seeking an experience Fire Alarm Engineer to work across live healthcare, mental health, commercial and other occupied environments, including inpatient and secure settings. Engineers must therefore be comfortable working professionally and respectfully around patients, clinical staff, visitors, customers and other contractors. You will be responsible for ensuring fire alarm systems are installed, maintained, tested and repaired to the required standards, whilst providing a high level of customer service and ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently and with appropriate documentation. Responsibilities Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and routine servicing of fire alarm systems. Attend reactive maintenance and emergency breakdowns and diagnose faults efficiently. Carry out fault finding, repairs and component replacement on fire alarm systems. Undertake testing and inspection in accordance with relevant legislation, standards and manufacturer requirements. Complete fire alarm testing, servicing and maintenance documentation accurately. Identify defects, remedial requirements and potential compliance issues and report these appropriately. Carry out installation, modification and commissioning works where required. Work with a range of fire alarm systems and manufacturers.
