About the Role
As a fire alarm engineer, you’ll be responsible for the installation, servicing, and maintenance of fire alarm systems and emergency lighting across a range of commercial and industrial premises. Working closely with our clients, you’ll ensure all systems are fully operational and compliant with current fire safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintenance of fire alarm systems and emergency lighting primarily around Sussex
- Conducting fault finding, repairs, and system upgrades
- Providing excellent customer service and clear communication with clients
- Ensuring all work complies with industry standards and regulations
- Completing service reports and maintaining accurate documentation
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven experience as a fire alarm engineer
- Strong knowledge of fire alarm & emergency lighting systems, standards, and regulations (e.g., BS 5839 & BS5266)
- Full UK driving licence (less than six points)
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- FIA or BFC certification
