Finishing Operative / Plating Technician Salary: £15 per hour Location: Birmingham Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time We are recruiting for a Finishing Operative to join a busy manufacturing finishing department producing high-quality decorative finished hardware accessories. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with manufacturing, production, plating, chemical, or industrial experience. Full training will be provided for the right candidate. The role involves working within a plating environment using acids, alkalis, and specialist process chemicals, so applicants must be comfortable working in an industrial setting and following strict health and safety procedures. The Role As a Finishing Operative, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining plating line equipment while ensuring products meet required quality standards. Duties will include: Operating and maintaining various equipment within the plating line Safely measuring and adding chemicals to process baths in line with procedures Setting and maintaining finishing process equipment and solutions within operational parameters Inspecting products for defects and ensuring conformance to specifications Carrying out general housekeeping to maintain a clean, safe, and organised department Supporting preventative maintenance activities, including vat clean-downs Following safe manual handling procedures, including lifting and carrying jigs and components Ensuring correct PPE is worn at all times within the ..... full job details .....
