Finishing Foreman

Our client, a well known leading Irish Developer is-currently seeking a Finishing Foreman-to join their Dublin-based team. The client in question are operating a number of high end residential sites around the county. This is a-full-time permanent-position with competitive salary and ancillary benefits

Role and Responsibilities:

• Overseeing the final phase of-construction operations on a day-to-day basis
• Ensuring that work is done safely, to tight deadlines-and to the right quality standards
• Monitoring progress, overseeing delivery of materials and carrying out safety checks
• Weekly meetings-
• Dealing with any problems which could hold up work as they arise
• Liaising closely with the Site-Manager and members of the site team at all times
• Sub cointractor liaison
• Ability to handle pressure and work the programme to deadline-
• Liaising closely with architects, engineers, surveyors and planners
• Ensuring work complies with building regulations and health and safety legislation as well as other legal requirements
• Delegating, motivating and guiding labourers-
• Updating and reporting back regularly on progress

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• Either a trades background or theird level construction management or civil engineering education-
• Previous experience (ideally in residential sector) as a Finishing Foreman with 2-3+ years experience
• A solid track record of managerial experience within the construction industry required
• Excellent communication, organisation & time management skills are essential
• Proven track record of working to strict timescales
• Good understanding of current Health & Safety legislation is required
