OverviewOur client is seeking a Financial Reporting Manager to join their high calibre team in Manchester. This role offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a successful global blue-chip business where you will play a key role in delivering financial reporting across group entities, audit liaison and driving improvements to processes and financial controls. You will enjoy a varied role which will see you managing, coaching and developing a high performing finance team, ensuring the accurate and timely production of reporting in accordance with internal and group reporting deadlines and playing a key role in making sure standards are implemented and maintained.

Responsibilities

Manage, coach and develop a high calibre team.

Handle the provision of timely and accurate financial statements and corporation tax returns.

Drive improvements to processes and systems.

Support the Head of Financial Reporting and Chief Financial Officer in providing financial information relevant to business decisions.

Ensure the implementation of appropriate financial controls.

Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and standards.

Collaborate with other departments across the business.

Build strong working relationships with external audit partners.

Respond to ad-hoc queries and financial information requests from internal stakeholders.

The Successful Individual

Fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA).

Strong team management and development experience.

Strong knowledge of financial reporting procedures and regulations (IFRS and UK GAAP).

Excellent interpersonal skills for collaboration with various departments.

Ability to prepare accurate financial reports.

Strong analytical skills for identifying areas of improvement.

Commitment to maintaining high standards of compliance.
