About the Opportunity
An established and highly regarded financial planning firm is looking to appoint a skilled and technically capable Financial Planning Administrator to support a team of Financial Advisers.
This role would suit an experienced administrator who enjoys the technical side of financial planning and takes pride in delivering accurate, compliant, and efficient client support. The successful candidate will play a key role in the end-to-end client journey, ensuring advice processes run smoothly while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting Financial Advisers with administration.
- Preparing and processing new business applications across pensions, investments, protection, and retirement planning products.
- Managing provider and platform correspondence, including obtaining valuations and policy information.
- Producing client review packs and ensuring documentation is prepared ahead of meetings.
- Maintaining accurate client records and updating the CRM system.
- Monitoring business pipelines and proactively progressing cases through to completion.
- Liaising with providers, clients, and third parties to resolve queries efficiently.
- Assisting with fund switches, withdrawals, pension transfers, and other servicing activities.
- Ensuring all documentation meets regulatory and compliance requirements.
- Supporting the implementation of financial planning recommendations and ongoing client servicing.
Candidate Requirements
- Previous experience within a Financial Planning, Wealth Management, or Independent Financial Adviser (IFA) environment.
- Strong working knowledge of pensions, investments, ISAs, protection products, and financial planning administration processes.
- Experience using industry back-office systems and provider platforms.
- Excellent attention to detail with a high level of accuracy.
- Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines simultaneously.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Comfortable working independently while collaborating closely with advisers.
Desirable Experience
- Progress towards Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning (or equivalent qualifications).
- Experience supporting complex financial planning cases.
- Knowledge of pension transfers, drawdown, investment platforms, and ongoing servicing arrangements.
- Experience within a fee-based financial planning environment.
