Performance and Planning is a small but key team within Data and Technology, responsible for financial management, change delivery, resourcing, governance, and effective vendor, risk and audit management. The team aims to add value across the Data and Technology function and the wider organisation.The Role
Manage Data and Technology finances: ensure they are accurately budgeted, proactively managed, and all associated processes are delivered within group deadlinesTrack expenditure with vendors and contribute to the renewals processIdentify and implement improvements to processes and opportunities to reduce costs and increase value addCollaborate with Data and Technology budget owners, and stakeholders from finance, procurement and business unit teamsPrinciple Accountabilities
Overheads forecasting and budgeting with budget owners and finance, adhering to Group deadlinesService charge budgeting and actuals mapping with budget owners, finance team and key stakeholders, adhering to Group deadlinesAnalyse actuals with finance team and budget owners; ensure correct cost treatment and implement resulting actionsMaintain and proactively manage the Data and Technology finance trackerUpdate vendor finance trackersPO raising and receipting: verify budget code, raise PO, follow approvals, issue to supplier, and receipts where applicableTrack and report on cost saving initiativesIdentify cost reduction and value add opportunities across the cost baseSeek to improve processes and implement new ideasBuild close working relationships across the organisationRespond to/redirect email queries in a timely mannerTechnology budget planning and financial management experience, preferably with showback and/or chargeback modelsExperience of cost and project accountingDetail-oriented and accurate in all tasksHigh energy and flexibility to thrive in a fast-paced, agile, team-oriented environmentProactive with drive and confidence to use various communication methods with stakeholders to obtain timely resolutionsStrong organisation and prioritisation skills to manage conflicting demands and meet deadlinesOutstanding analytical and problem-solving abilities; understand current state and act to course correctLife and Benefits at Landsec
