We''re looking for a hands on Financial Controller to join a growing international business. Reporting directly to the Director, you''ll lead a small finance team, drive improvements across finance processes and systems, and provide the financial insight needed to support business growth.

What you''ll be doing

• Leading the day to day finance function and managing a small team.
• Producing management accounts, reports and financial analysis for senior leadership.
• Managing cash flow, budgeting and forecasting activities.
• Strengthening controls, improving processes and driving efficiencies.
• Supporting the ongoing development of the Odoo finance system.
• Managing the financial aspects of an international supply chain, including overseas suppliers, advance payments and long lead-time purchasing.
• Working closely with external accountants and key stakeholders across the business.

What we''re looking for

• Experience as a Financial Controller, Finance Manager or similar senior finance professional.
• Strong accounting knowledge and experience running day to day finance operations.
• Previous finance experience within an internationally trading business is essential. You''ll understand the challenges of overseas suppliers, advance payments, cash flow planning and managing long lead times.
• ERP or accounting systems experience, ideally within manufacturing, distribution or product-based environments.
• A confident communicator who can influence stakeholders and provide meaningful commercial insight.
• Qualified by experience, part-qualified or fully qualified (AAT, ACCA, CIMA or ACA).

Nice to have

• Odoo, Xero, QuickBooks or Sage experience.
• System implementation or migration experience.
• Stock, inventory, import/export or multi-currency experience.
