Financial ControllerStratford-upon-Avon 50,000 - 60,000 DOE A well-established family-run business is looking to appoint a Financial Controller to take ownership of the company''s day-to-day finance function.This is a newly created role, so there isn''t an existing accounts team or established finance department to step into. We''re looking for someone who is happy to roll their sleeves up, get stuck in and build the function from the ground up.You''ll have a broad remit covering everything from credit control and payments through to monthly management accounts, cashflow forecasting and payroll. It''s a hands-on position and would suit someone who enjoys having responsibility, making improvements and being close to the numbers and the wider business.Experience within the construction, concrete, building materials or a similar environment would be a real advantage. The roleYou''ll be responsible for managing the company''s finance function and ensuring the business has accurate, timely financial information and strong financial controls.Key responsibilities will include:Managing day-to-day finance and accounting activitiesPreparing monthly management accounts and financial reportsManaging credit control, aged debt and customer accountsOverseeing month-end processes and ensuring accounts are closed accurately and on timeManaging end-of-month payments, supplier payments and payment runsPreparing and maintaining cashflow forecastsMonitoring cash position and working ..... full job details .....
