Financial Controller - Sports

Are you a technically strong, practice-trained accountant looking for a broad international Financial Controller role within Media and Sport. This is an opportunity to take ownership of a diverse portfolio of international entities spanning the Americas, Europe, Middle East and Africa.Leading financial control, statutory reporting, audit, tax compliance and group reporting activities, while managing a small team and partnering with stakeholders across finance, legal, tax and treasury. Key responsibilities include: Ownership of month-end and period-end accounting processes across multiple international entities. Management of group reporting, quarterly reporting packs, transfer pricing calculations and tax-related submissions. Ensuring compliance with US GAAP requirements and supporting technical accounting matters. (Desirable) Preparation of technical accounting papers and ensuring accounting treatments are appropriately documented. Leading statutory audits and overseeing statutory accounts, tax compliance and regulatory reporting obligations. Managing and developing a team of two, providing leadership, coaching and support. Acting as a key point of contact for offshore shared service teams and external advisers. Supporting cash flow forecasting and partnering closely with treasury on funding requirements.
