Financial Controller

We are partnering with an award winning, family-run, business in Huddersfield. They are a well-established business in the automotive/engineering space, and due to continued expansion, they are looking to appoint an experienced and commercially focused Financial Controller to join the leadership team.Reporting directly to the Directors, the Financial Controller will take ownership of the finance function, providing accurate financial reporting, strategic insight, and operational support across the business. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on finance professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and wants to play a key role in the ongoing growth of a respected Yorkshire business.Key responsibilities will include;Preparation of monthly management accountsCash-flow forecasting and financial planningBudget preparation and variance analysisOverseeing purchase and sales ledger functionsVAT returns and statutory complianceManaging payroll and HMRC submissionsProducing year-end accounts and liaising with external accountantsMonitoring stock funding and vehicle finance facilitiesDeveloping financial controls and improving processesSupporting Directors with commercial analysis and strategic decision-makingManaging and mentoring the finance teamIdeally you will be able to demonstrate the below qualifications/experience:ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified or qualified by experienceExperienced in Management accountsCommercially aware with strong analytical skillsConfident ..... full job details .....
