Financial Controller North Derby - Hybrid (3 Days in and 2 days out) Full Time, Permanent £75,000 SF Partners are working on an exclusive basis with a growing business in Derby. Our client is seeking an experienced Financial Controller to lead finance operations within a growing multi-site business. This role will oversee financial reporting, controls, compliance, budgeting, forecasting, and team leadership while providing commercial insight to support strategic decision-making. Financial Leadership - Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team. - Establish clear objectives, performance standards, and best practices. - Maintain finance policies, procedures, and controls. - Drive a culture of continuous improvement and accountability. Financial Control and Accounting - Oversee day-to-day financial accounting and reporting activities. - Ensure timely completion of month-end and year-end close processes. - Review balance sheet reconciliations, cash management, and fixed asset accounting. - Maintain strong internal controls and compliance with accounting standards. Reporting and Commercial Analysis - Produce management accounts and financial reporting packs. - Deliver cash flow forecasting, CAPEX reporting, KPI reporting, and profitability analysis. - Provide commercial insights, financial modelling, and decision support to business leaders. - Identify trends, risks, opportunities, and performance improvement initiatives.
