Financial Controller

RM Recruit are supporting a sizable charity in the recruitment of their current Financial Controller vacancy. Overseeing a team of 3 and reporting into the Head of Finance, this position holds responsibility for ensuring efficient and effective financial control operates throughout the organisation, ensuring all regional and central financial processes are fully compliant with legislation, policies and all set internal and external procedures. This is a hybrid role with 1 day per week required onsite in the West Midlands head office (4 days from home). Key responsibilities for the Financial Controller will include, but not be limited to: Overseeing the month end process, working in collaboration with all finance team members including leading on month end timetables Management of both the external audit and the overall year end processes including draft statutory financial statements in accordance with regulatory standards Oversight on effective financial control across the organisation, ensuring compliance with legislation, policies, procedures and the relevant delegated authorities. Development of rolling cash forecasts in order to optimise cash levels Reconciliation of balance sheet accounts and inter-company accounts Regular review and oversight of the general ledger, fixed assets, debtors and creditors Management and oversight of Restricted and Designated Funds.
