Financial Controller

Morgan McKinley Northern Home Counties are working with a growing and commercially focused FMCG business in Northampton to appoint a high-calibre Financial Controller. This is a broad and influential role for an ACCA, ACA or CIMA qualified accountant who enjoys operating close to the commercial and operational side of a business. The RoleAs Financial Controller, you will lead the finance function, ensuring strong financial control, accurate reporting and commercially focused analysis to support continued growth.Key responsibilities include:Lead the month-end and year-end close processProduce monthly management accounts and financial analysisOwn budgeting, forecasting and financial planningProvide commercial insight into sales, margins, costs and profitabilityPartner with Operations, Sales and ProcurementOversee cash flow, working capital and balance sheet managementMaintain and strengthen financial controls and processesMonitor product costing, gross margins and manufacturing variancesSupport stock and inventory reportingManage statutory accounts and external audit requirementsEnsure compliance with relevant accounting and regulatory requirementsImprove finance systems, processes and reportingLead, develop and motivate the finance teamProvide financial support and challenge to the senior leadership teamAbout YouYou will ideally have:ACCA, ACA or CIMA qualificationPrevious experience as a Financial Controller, Finance Manager or equivalentExperience within FMCG, food, ..... full job details .....
