Financial Controller

Our client, a prominent player in the finance, defence, and security sectors, is currently seeking a skilled Financial Controller to join their team on a contract basis in Romsey.Key Responsibilities:Driving change in financial reporting and associated processesManaging day-to-day accounting operations, including AR, AP, GL, inventory, and fixed assetsPreparing and publishing monthly and annual financial statements and fulfilling other reporting requirementsOverseeing all Treasury and cash management requirementsCo-ordinating the preparation of budget and forecasting dataManaging internal and external audit processes and controlsHandling company tax issues, including VAT managementSupervising and managing the financial reporting teamAssisting the Finance Director in various areas as neededJob Requirements:Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)Proven experience with group reportingExperience as a financial accountant or similar roleExtensive knowledge of accounting principles and practicesExcellent skills in accounting and reportingProficiency with ERP software, ideally IFS, and MS OfficeGood communication skills, both verbal and writtenIntermediate to advanced Excel skillsAbility to use initiative and suggest practical solutionsAdditional Information:Location: Romsey - 3 days per week onsiteDuration: 6 MonthsIR35: Inside - £475 per dayClearance: BPSS Check, SC preferred but not essentialThe Finance department operates to manage all financial processes and decisions, ensuring ..... full job details .....
