Financial ControllerOxfordshire 55,000 - 65,000This is a broad role suited to someone who enjoys working in an SME environment, is comfortable operating both strategically and in the detail, and wants to play a visible role in a commercially focused business.ResponsibilitiesPreparation of monthly management accounts and reporting packsBudgeting, forecasting and cash flow managementBalance sheet control and reconciliationsOversight of sales ledger, purchase ledger and banking processesMonitoring working capital, debtors and creditorsStock / inventory reporting and margin analysisVAT, PAYE and wider statutory / compliance responsibilitiesYear-end support and liaison with external accountants / auditorsDevelopment of financial controls, reporting processes and systemsBusiness partnering with the wider management teamSupporting and developing a small finance teamThe CandidateThe business is looking for an experienced finance professional who is comfortable taking ownership of a broad finance remit within a fast-moving SME environment.You are likely to have:Experience in a Financial Controller, Finance Manager or similar senior finance roleStrong management accounts, budgeting and cash flow forecasting experienceGood understanding of financial controls, compliance and reportingA hands-on approach and willingness to work across both operational and strategic financeStrong Excel and finance systems skillsExperience in a stock-led, retail, wholesale, e-commerce or product-based ..... full job details .....
