Financial ControllerSalary: 40,000 - 50,000 per annum Location: Hybrid Working (3 days office-based) Job Type: Full-TimeThe OpportunityA growing SME is seeking a hands-on Financial Controller to take ownership of the finance function and provide reliable financial reporting, cash flow management and commercial support to senior leadership. This is a varied role offering responsibility, autonomy and the opportunity to influence decision-making across the business.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare monthly management accounts and financial reports.Manage cash flow forecasting, banking and working capital.Oversee purchase ledger, sales ledger and credit control activities.Lead month-end processes, reconciliations and financial controls.Manage supplier payments and monitor financial commitments.Prepare VAT returns and support year-end accounting requirements.Deliver budgeting, forecasting and performance analysis.Identify opportunities to improve finance processes and reporting.About YouYou will have previous experience in a Financial Controller, Senior Management Accountant or similar finance role within an SME environment.Key requirements:Strong management accounts experience.Cash flow forecasting and financial planning skills.Knowledge of VAT, financial controls and compliance.Experience overseeing transactional finance processes.Advanced Excel and finance systems knowledge.Ability to present financial information to senior stakeholders.Strong analytical, organisational and ..... full job details .....
