Financial ControllerOverviewA profitable, fast-paced UK business operating within the vehicle rental / fleet sector is seeking an experienced Financial Controller to lead its finance function.This is a senior role offering full ownership of financial reporting, control, and team leadership, alongside strong exposure to commercial decision-making and business performance.The RoleReporting to the Finance Director, you will take responsibility for the day-to-day and strategic leadership of finance, ensuring accurate reporting, strong controls, and meaningful insight to support the wider business.You will also play a key role in improving processes, systems, and efficiency across the finance function.Key ResponsibilitiesLead month-end close, ensuring accurate and timely reportingOwn PandL, balance sheet, and financial controlsDeliver monthly management accounts and performance analysisManage audit process and statutory accounts preparationOversee tax compliance including VAT and corporate taxBusiness partner with senior leadership to support decision-makingLead, develop, and mentor the finance teamDrive process improvements and system efficienciesAbout YouFully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA)Proven Financial Controller (or similar) experienceStrong technical accounting and reporting knowledgeExperience managing audits and financial complianceCommercially minded with strong stakeholder skillsHands-on and proactive approach in a fast-moving environmentDesirableExperience ..... full job details .....
