Konnect Recruit are recruiting for a Financial Controller for a privately owned Construction company based in Portsmouth. Key Responsibilities: Oversee all aspects of financial management, including accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting. Develop and implement financial strategies, policies, and procedures Prepare and present financial reports to senior management Manage cash flow, including accounts receivable and payable Coordinate and lead the annual audit process Monitor and manage the company s financial performance against budget and forecasts, providing regular updates to management. Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll, taxes, and other financial obligations. Qualifications: Qualification in Accounting, ACA / ACCA or CIMA Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial management, preferably in the construction industry. Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and budgeting. Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. High attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
