Financial Controller

Financial Controller Redcar Up to 65,000 Jackson Hogg are delighted to be working with an exciting business who are seeking to recruit a technical Financial Controller to report into the Finance Director. This role has a strong focus on month-end close, statutory and group reporting, compliance with accounting standards, and effective management of intercompany accounting. Duties and Responsibilities include: Full ownership of the month-end close process, ensuring accurate, complete and timely financial information. Preparing and reviewing monthly management accounts in line with group reporting requirements. Ensuring compliance with UK accounting standards (FRS 102/IFRS as applicable) and group accounting policies. Preparing and coordinating statutory accounts and management of the external audit process. Responsible for the balance sheet integrity, including monthly reconciliations and reviews. Supporting the Finance Director with budgeting and forecasting. Line management, development and performance of the finance team. Process and submit VAT returns. You will be/have: ACA/ACCA or CIMA Qualified. Strong technical accounting knowledge with proven application of standards. Strong Excel and financial systems including PowerBI.
