Financial Controller

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a technically strong Financial Controller to join a well-established engineering business based in Wolverhampton, West Midlands.Reporting directly to the CFO, this role offers significant visibility across the organisation and the opportunity to influence operational and strategic decision-making while leading a capable finance team.This position would particularly suit an ACA qualified accountant seeking a move to FC level within a broad commercial leadership role, or an experienced Financial Controller looking to join a business undergoing continued growth and transformation.As Financial Controller, you will take ownership of the finance function, ensuring robust financial control, high-quality reporting and insightful analysis that supports business performance.You will work closely with senior stakeholders across the organisation, providing commercial challenge, driving process improvements and supporting key strategic projects.Key responsibilities will include:Leading the month-end, year-end and statutory reporting processesManaging budgeting, forecasting and long-range planning activitiesDelivering high-quality financial analysis to support operational and strategic decision-makingOverseeing cash flow forecasting and treasury managementLeading external audit relationships and statutory compliance requirementsManaging VAT, corporation tax and payroll complianceSupporting group reporting and ensuring strong financial controls across ..... full job details .....
