Financial Controller

Job Title: Financial Controller Sector: Healthcare Salary: 40,000 to 45,000 per annum (Negotiable) Location: Berkshire / Surrey border (Flexible hybrid working available) Role Overview A growing care provider seeks an experienced Financial Controller to manage day to day financial operations and support strategic business growth. The successful candidate will oversee financial controls, compliance, and a small administrative team. Key Responsibilities Manage end to end monthly payroll, pensions, and staff expenses in line with UK employment law. Oversee accurate client invoicing, private billing, and supplier payments. Maintain robust financial controls, cash flow monitoring, budgeting, and forecasting. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual management accounts and financial reports. Ensure full compliance with HMRC, Companies House, and sector regulatory financial standards. Lead, motivate, and manage a small team of business administrators. Requirements Fully qualified ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent experience. Proven experience as a Financial Controller, ideally within a service provision business. Expert proficiency in Xero accounting software. Strong understanding of UK payroll, VAT, and financial regulations. Excellent analytical, leadership, and communication skills.
