Financial Controller (Temp to Permanent)Location: Central LondonSalary: Circa £38-40phStart Date: ASAPWorking Pattern: Full-time, initially office-based with hybrid 1 or 2 days from home thereafter Farrer Barnes is delighted to be partnering with a growing Multi-Academy Trust in London to recruit an experienced Financial Controller on an temp-to-permanent basis. This is an exciting opportunity to join a Trust at a pivotal stage in its development, with several new schools joining the organisation in the coming months. Reporting directly to the COO, you will play a key role in strengthening the finance function, supporting organisational growth, and ensuring robust financial management across the Trust. Key responsibilities will include:Leading and supporting the finance team on a day-to-day basisOverseeing financial controls, reporting and complianceManaging cashflow forecasting and budgeting processesSupporting the onboarding of new schools into the TrustDriving process improvements and embedding best practiceSupporting the continued rollout and optimisation of the Trust''s finance systemsActing as a key finance business partner to senior leadershipThe successful candidate will be a hands-on finance professional with previous experience within a Multi-Academy Trust or specialist education setting. You will be comfortable operating both strategically and operationally, with the ability to support a growing organisation through a period of change.
