This is a hands-on assignment with a clear remit: maintain strong financial control while reviewing and improving the processes, controls and ways of working across the finance function. The successful candidate will inherit an established team and will need to quickly build credibility across the business. We are therefore looking for someone confident, pragmatic and resilient who is comfortable challenging existing processes and implementing improvements while bringing colleagues with them. Key responsibilities include: Leading the month-end close and production of accurate management accounts. Maintaining balance sheet integrity, including reconciliations, accruals, prepayments and provisions. Reviewing and strengthening financial controls and existing finance processes.
