We are looking for an experienced Financial Controller to oversee financial reporting as part of the overall performance reporting framework of the business.
You will provide leadership and guidance to colleagues within the Financial Reporting and Rent & Service Charge Teams. You will provide a customer focused service to the business whilst managing a team of fully qualified accountants in business partner roles ensuring a high standard of service. You will be the primary point of contact between the organisation and external auditors and play a crucial role in leading the planning, coordination and review of the statutory accounts process, making sure all deadlines are met. You will be working closely with the wider Finance Team, ensuring financial processed are aligned, efficient and effective. It will be your responsibility to oversee the preparation and delivery of monthly Leadership reports, providing clear and accurate updates on forecast performance as well as monitoring the delivery of savings and efficiency initiatives through value for money metrics and performance indicators.
We are looking for someone who is a fully qualified accountant with a recognised finance or accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, etc…) and can demonstrate experience in a senior finance role, ideally within social housing. You must be able to analyse and interpret financial data, have excellent problem-solving skills, and be proficient in the use of modern financial systems and software. Our ideal candidate has exceptional numerical and analytical capability and strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build collaborative, productive relationships across teams and functions.
