Financial Controller

We are looking for a highly driven Financial Controller with proven experience in retail, or FMCG sector; however, we also welcome candidates with relevant experience from other industries, along with a strong understanding of stock management and commercial finance.
You will be a fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) with approx. 10 years post-qualification experience in financial management.
The role has a hybrid working model. - On - Site 3 days per week in London NW7 with 2 days working from home.
This is a permanent, full-time role.
Salary: -65,000 - -70,000 + Good benefits

Finance Operations
- Managing the day-to-day running of the finance office including Accounts Payable and Receivable
- Making sure debtors and creditors ledgers are clean to support efficient cashflow management
- Ensuring general ledger is well maintained including fixed asset register
- Preparing monthly payroll run for multiple payroll groups
- Reviewing and uploading weekly payment run in the bank including foreign currency payments
- Providing guidance and mentoring within the finance team
- Overseeing the ERP system to ensure data integrity is maintained
- Supporting the Managing Director in managing relationships with various external stakeholders
- Supporting the external auditors in the preparation of statutory accounts
- A key member of the senior management team, driving growth, profitability, and cash flow
Reporting
- Managing all aspects of month end reporting including preparation of monthly consolidated management accounts for overseas entities
- Making sure balance sheets are reviewed and any discrepancies are resolved
- Driving the preparation of monthly forecast, budget and three-year business plan
- Analysing product and retailer profitability and advise corrective action where needed
- Preparing and reviewing all government submissions including quarterly VAT Return
