We are currently seeking an experienced Financial Controller to act as the founding member of the finance team within a start-up initiative with huge scope to expand. This is a great opportunity for a Qualified Accountant with C8+ years PQE who is looking to expand their experience and join an inspirational team at a pivotal time.
Responsibilities
Working with the team towards scaling to £6bn turnover by the end of 2027.
You will be responsible for the set up, management, and safeguarding of all day-to-day financial operations.
You will also be supporting funding activities, budgeting, and strategic financial planning as well as building a team.
You will need to be comfortable operating at both strategic and operational levels, happy to work in a hands-on capacity as well as having the gravitas to represent finance at board level and with external stakeholders.
Requirements
A recognised Accountancy Qualification (ACA/ACCA or equivalent)
Ideally, proven experience in a fast-growing start-up or scale-up
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail with a hands-on approach
Hands-on, proactive, and adaptable to a dynamic start-up environment
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present financial information to non-financial stakeholders
Immediate availability or able to start in the next 4 weeks
