Financial Controller

Chalk Hill Group has been retained by a rapidly expanding services business, based in Aldershot, in their search for a Financial Controller. There will be an expectation to be in the office two days a week, with a degree of flexibility expected depending on requirements.The business has grown turnover by 40% in the last 12 months and is targeting an additional 25% for next financial year, supported by recent investment in a new finance system and the appointment of key personnel to broaden the company''s sector exposure and service offering.The RoleActing as No.2 to the Finance Director, the Financial Controller will own day to day operations of the finance function and play a key role in supporting the business through its next phase of growth.Key responsibilities include:Full responsibility for financial accounting, month-end close and statutory reportingOwnership of the year-end audit process and management of external auditorsPreparation of monthly management accounts and board packsLeading the annual budgeting, forecasting and three-year planning processCashflow management and balance sheet controlEmbedding and optimising a recently implemented finance systemLeadership and development of the finance teamActing as a trusted finance partner to senior stakeholders and branches across the businessCandidate ProfileA fully qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA)Practice-trained candidates making a first move into industry, or Practice-trained, qualified accountant with ..... full job details .....
