Butler Rose is exclusively recruiting a Financial Controller (12-month maternity cover) for a unique and well-established business based in Somerset.This is a fully site-based position, offering a fantastic opportunity for an experienced and commercially minded finance professional to take on a key leadership role within a fast-paced and diverse organisation.Reporting to the CFO, you will play a pivotal role in managing the central finance function, ensuring robust financial control and delivering accurate reporting to support strategic decision-making across the business. Key responsibilitiesLead, manage and develop the finance team on a day-to-day basisOversee all payment processes, ensuring accuracy, compliance and timelinessManage month-end and year-end close processes in line with reporting deadlinesReview monthly management accounts, including reconciliations, accruals and prepaymentsOversee payroll processes to ensure compliance and accuracyMaintain and enhance financial controls, systems and processesSupport budgeting and forecasting activitiesEnsure compliance with statutory reporting, tax and audit requirementsBusiness partner with operational teams and senior stakeholdersDrive continuous improvement initiatives and support finance projects About youProven experience in a Financial Controller or similar senior finance roleQualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent preferred)Strong leadership and team management experienceExcellent understanding of ..... full job details .....
