Commercial Finance Partner

Salary: Up to £60,000
Hours: Monday to Friday, 42.5 hours per week
Flexibility: Flexible working hours between 7:00am and 5:30pm

We are seeking a commercially focused Business Analyst to join our team and play a key role in improving business performance, driving cost efficiencies, and supporting strategic decision-making across the organisation.

This is a highly visible role that works closely with senior leadership, department managers, suppliers, and key stakeholders to analyse costs, improve processes, and identify opportunities to enhance operational and financial performance. The successful candidate will combine strong analytical skills with commercial awareness to help deliver meaningful improvements across the business.

Working within a manufacturing environment, you will be responsible for reviewing departmental spend, evaluating processes and materials, supporting procurement activities, and providing insight that enables the business to operate more efficiently and profitably.

Key Responsibilities of this Commercial Finance Partner role:

• Analyse departmental costs, budgets, and expenditure to identify opportunities for savings and efficiencies.
• Review existing business processes and implement improvements that drive productivity and reduce waste.
• Partner with department managers to understand cost drivers and support informed decision-making.
• Produce regular financial and operational reports for senior management.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
• Work closely with suppliers to secure the best commercial agreements, improve service levels, and reduce lead times.
• Assess material usage and procurement activity to ensure value for money and effective cost control.
• Monitor business performance, identify trends, and provide recommendations for improvement.
• Deliver detailed commercial and financial analysis to support strategic initiatives.
• Support continuous improvement projects throughout the organisation.
• Build strong working relationships with stakeholders across finance, operations, production, and procurement.

Skills & Experience of this Commercial Finance Partner role:

The ideal candidate will have experience within a Business Analyst, Financial Analyst, Finance Business Partner, Commercial Analyst, Procurement Analyst, or similar position.

• Previous experience within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong financial reporting and analytical capabilities.
• Excellent commercial awareness and understanding of cost management.
• Experience identifying and implementing process improvements.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• The ability to interpret data and translate findings into practical business recommendations.
• Advanced Excel skills and confidence working with large datasets.
• A proactive and solutions-focused approach.
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
