Finance Recruitment Consultant at MacGregor Black | Consumer Goods Specialist. Are you a finance professional with strong analytical skills and a passion for turning data into meaningful insight? Macgregor Black is partnering with a leading Fashion and Lifestyle business in their search for a Finance Analyst to join their European Finance team, based in London (4 days per week onsite).Reporting to the Senior Finance Manager, this role will be central to delivering accurate financial reporting and robust analysis across all European divisions. Working at the heart of the FPandA function, you will support the planning cycles, provide variance analysis, and enhance financial modelling, ensuring the business has the insight it needs to drive performance.Responsibilities
Support the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and long-range plans across multiple brands and marketsProduce and deliver monthly reporting packs with detailed analysis of sales, margin, and overheadsConduct variance analysis to highlight key trends, risks, and opportunitiesBuild and maintain financial models to support scenario analysis and decision-makingAssist in preparing presentations and reports for senior finance leadership and global stakeholdersProvide clear, data-driven insights to inform business performance trackingContribute to the continuous improvement of reporting processes, tools, and templatesDeliver ad hoc analysis on business performance, investment cases, and financial trendsWhat We’re Looking For
Part-qualified accountant (CIMA / ACCA / ACA) with FPandA or commercial finance experienceIndustry experience in a product-led business (retail, consumer, fashion, or FMCG preferred)Strong analytical and financial modelling skills with advanced Excel proficiencyExcellent attention to detail and ability to present complex data in a clear, concise wayExperience of management reporting, forecasting, and variance analysisProactive, organised, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentExperience with BI tools or ERP systems (SAP beneficial) a plusThis is a great opportunity for a finance analyst who thrives on reporting, forecasting, and analysis to join a global business at the forefront of the consumer sector.
