Financial Accounting Officer

The Financial Accounting Officer will play a key role in supporting the Accounting and Finance department by managing financial records, ensuring compliance with regulations, and assisting with reporting processes. The role will be working for an Arms Length Body and be based at a location around north London, Hertfordshire, Cambridgeshire or Leeds.Client DetailsAn Arms Length Body with locations in London, Cambridgeshire, Leeds, Aberdeen and Cardiff.DescriptionProcessing purchase and sales ledgersMaintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.Assist in the preparation of financial statements and management reports.Perform reconciliations, including bank accounts and balance sheets.Support month-end and year-end closing processes, including accruals and prepaymentsEnsure timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments.Collaborate with internal teams to provide financial insights and analysis.Assist with audits by providing necessary documentation and clarifications.Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and systems.ProfileThe successful Financial Accounting Officer should have:Relevant qualifications in accounting or finance (active CCAB studier or AAT Level 4).Experience in financial reporting, reconciliations, and compliance.Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.An organised and detail-focused approach to managing tasks.Excellent communication and ..... full job details .....
