PositionFinancial Accountant: Public SectorThe role is within the Financial Control team and reports to the UK Head of Finance. It covers all aspects of finance, with a primary focus on revenue and costs relating to public sector clients.Qualifications and ExperienceCandidates should hold, or be currently pursuing, ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualifications, with recent and relevant finance experience.Technical SkillsStrong IT skills in Excel, PowerPoint, and ERP systems such as Microsoft Dynamics or SAP are essential.Core CompetenciesAttention to detail, analytical problem solving, risk assessment, and strong time management skills.Core Duties: Approvals and Financial ControlInvoice approval at AP level, with a focus on costs relating to public sector clientsSupport with AP and AR write offs and adjustmentsSupport the finance team with payment approvals Month End Close ActivitiesAccruals and provisionsReconciliations and controls (including passthrough costs)Reallocations and cost attributionDevelop an in depth understanding of public sector clients'' gross margin Reporting ResponsibilitiesONS statistical reportingPublic sector open book ownership, adapting the model in line with evolving client requirements RelationshipsWork closely with the management accounts team and provide cover when requiredCollaborate with shared services teams to understand O2C and P2P cycles and their impact on public sector reportingBuild strong working relationships with public sector operations and ..... full job details .....
