Sheridan Maine is delighted to be partnering with a leading organisation in Weymouth who are looking to appoint an experienced Financial Accountant to join their established finance team.Location: Weymouth (Hybrid - 2 days office / 3 days home working)This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified accountant looking for a technically varied role within a complex, multi-entity environment, with the opportunity to take ownership of statutory reporting, technical accounting, audit management and team development.You will play a key role in ensuring accurate financial reporting across the group, supporting continuous improvement across finance processes and acting as a trusted technical accounting point of contact.Key Responsibilities:Lead the preparation of consolidated and subsidiary statutory accounts, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards including IFRS and UK GAAPSupport statutory reporting requirements across multiple entities and jurisdictionsManage month-end close activities, including general ledger processes, balance sheet reviews and reconciliationsTake ownership of the external audit process, acting as a key contact for auditors and supporting the delivery of a smooth audit cycleProvide technical accounting expertise across the business, including reviewing changes in accounting standards and preparing technical papers where requiredOversee group balance sheet controls, identifying risks and opportunities for improvementSupport the development and ..... full job details .....
