Financial Accountant

Sewell Wallis is partnering with a large South Yorkshire manufacturing business based in Sheffield in their search for a Financial Accountant. Reporting into the Financial Controller, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the day-to-day transactional and management accounting function for the business and will directly support with all aspects of management accounting and financial reporting. What will you be doing? Regular reviews and reporting of AR and AP ledger balancesAssist with full month end close process, including management accounts, inventory valuations, balance sheet reconciliations and all other reporting, ensuring completion within strict group reporting deadlinesOversee the accuracy and integrity of the accounting ledgersRegularly review finance systems and processes, recommending and implementing improvements to enhance efficiency and data accuracyAssist with preparation and reporting of budgets and forecastsHMRC Reporting, including submission of VAT reportingSupport with various internal and external audit requirementsSupport delivery of departmental business planProvide adequate cover to the Financial Controller as necessary What skills do we need? ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified (will consider PQE)Experience within a group structured entitySignificant demonstrable financial accounting experienceAdherence to IFRS accounting standards Desired Qualities and Attributes Strong communication skills with both finance and non-finance managersInitiate and implement ..... full job details .....
