The Opportunity

As Financial Accountant, you''ll be responsible for delivering accurate financial reporting while supporting the wider business with meaningful financial insight.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Preparing monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting

• Managing month-end activities, including accruals, prepayments and reconciliations

• Producing balance sheet reconciliations and maintaining strong financial controls

• Analysing profit and loss performance and investigating financial variances

• Supporting budgeting and forecasting activities

• Preparing VAT returns and assisting with statutory accounts

• Maintaining the fixed asset register

• Supporting year-end audit processes

• Producing financial analysis to support commercial decision-making

• Identifying opportunities to improve reporting, systems and finance processes

• Working closely with colleagues across the business to provide financial support and guidance

About You

You''ll be an ambitious finance professional who enjoys working in a collaborative environment and wants to continue developing your career.

You''ll ideally have:

• Newly qualified or nearly qualified ACCA, CIMA or equivalent

• At least three years'' experience within a finance environment

• Strong experience of month-end processes and balance sheet reconciliations

• Experience analysing financial performance and P&L reporting

• Intermediate to advanced Excel skills

• Experience using accounting or ERP systems (SAP would be advantageous but isn''t essential)

• Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail

• A proactive approach and the confidence to build relationships across the wider business
