Financial Accountant

Reed Finance is delighted to be supporting our Leamington Spa-based client in the recruitment of a Financial Accountant. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong finance professional to join a well-established business and play a key role in ensuring the accuracy, integrity and compliance of the company''s financial reporting. Working closely with senior stakeholders, the successful candidate will take ownership of the month-end close process, oversee the production of management accounts, support statutory reporting requirements and help maintain a robust financial control environment. The role will also be heavily involved in compliance, tax reporting, audit coordination and the delivery of accurate financial information to support business decision-making. Key Responsibilities Lead the month-end close process, ensuring the PandL and balance sheet are completed accurately and within reporting deadlines. Prepare, review and post journals including accruals, prepayments and provisions. Maintain the integrity of the general ledger and ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies. Produce monthly management accounts and management reporting packs, providing clear and meaningful financial insights. Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations, investigating and resolving reconciling items promptly.
