This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong accountant to join a high-performing finance function and play a key role in statutory reporting, compliance and technical accounting projects across a multi-entity business.Client DetailsThe role has arisen following an internal restructure and offers the opportunity to make a genuine impact while working closely with senior finance leadership on a range of interesting technical accounting matters.DescriptionThe key responsibilities of the Financial Accountant will include:Preparation of statutory accountsVAT returns and indirect tax complianceCorporation tax preparation and liaison with external advisersSupporting month-end reporting and management accounts productionTechnical accounting research and implementationSupporting the business through upcoming FRS 102 changesEnsuring compliance with accounting standards and group reporting requirementsCompany secretarial activitiesSupporting mergers, acquisitions and wider business projectsProcess improvement and strengthening financial controlsWorking closely with finance and non-finance stakeholders across the businessProfileIdeally we are looking to speak with qualified accountants (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) who have strong technical accounting knowledge and the confidence to operate independently.Qualified accountant status ..... full job details .....
