Financial Accountant

The Financial Accountant role is a key management position within the Finance function, responsible for overseeing the Sales Ledger Accountant and Finance Assistant across a range of team and business wide finance activities. Client Details Medium size business reporting into a larger group. Description Manage billing and revenue recognition, ensuring accurate invoicing, reconciliations and minimising revenue leakage. Oversee VAT, tax compliance, statutory reporting and external audit requirements. Act as the key finance contact for Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, ensuring ledger accuracy, robust controls and timely issue resolution. Manage cash flow forecasting, treasury activities and working capital performance. Monitor and improve financial controls, processes and reporting across transactional finance functions. Support finance transformation projects, system enhancements and process automation initiatives. Profile A successful Financial Accountant should have: A recognised qualification in accounting or finance. Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards. Proficiency in financial analysis and budgeting. Experience with accounting software and advanced Excel skills. Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and organisational abilities. The ability to work collaboratively within a team. Job Offer Salary between £45,000 and £55,000, dependent on the level of experience.
